well as socialisation factors such as parenting, and
parent-child relationships that affect the develop-
ment of empathy. We may teach empathy
to our children by being a role model for them as
they look up to us and imitate us. Also, connecting
with children socially and emotionally helps a lot.
Talking to them, sharing our happiness and prob-
lems make them empathetic in life.
Empathy is a valuable life skill for children to pos-
sess. It is beneficial as it helps to develop strong
bond with family, friends and other acquaintanc-
es. It encourages acceptance and adaptation of
situations and dealing with conflicts and disagree-
ment. Also, empathy promotes good mental
health and social harmony.
It is necessary to imbibe empathy for the welfare
of society. People with a higher level of empathy
learn to help others more quickly than their more
hard-hearted peers, scientists say. This would
make world a better place where we would feel
safe and connected.
