This project aims to study the smart city concept and development of  India and other Partner countries. It includes the following activities:

Documentary

The educational system is currently heading towards the collaboration between information technology and communication. Concepts of education are, therefore, required in the implementation of a smart city. To make the students aware about the concept of Smart City, an introductory session was organized for the students of grade X and XII. In the session the students were briefed about the concept and development of urban renewal and urban ecosystem in India, China, Singapore and Dubai. A Power Point presentation was also shown to the students.

MODEL MAKING

Students enthusiastically participated in 3 Dimensional Model making of smart cities of India and Singapore. It was an wonderful experience for them.

ARTICLE WRITING

Students of Grade X & XII penned down their ingenious ideas by being a part of an Article writing activity at SRCS. They wrote wonderful articles on topics like social media, usage of mobile applications, and issues and solutions concerning problems faced by public.

SURVEY

 The students of Grade X to XII conducted a Survey to gauge the progress and implementation of the Smart City initiative. Through their survey they collected the data about how much aware is the public about the Smart city initiative in Indore.

SCRAPBOOK MAKING ACTIVITY

Students participated enthusiastically in the scrapbook making activity. They collected data about similarities and differences in the urban renewal of Dubai and China were displayed by them in form of charts and pictures. It helped them to identify the technological advancement in these cities and how they are being used to make their living better.

FIELD VISIT

Students of class X, XI and XII were taken for a visit to Jimmy McGilligan Centre for sustainable Development established by Krishan Malhotra Charities (Regd. Trust no 602/dated June 12, 1998) in Indore. Students explored different renewable sources of energy like solar plates and wind energy. They also witnessed the solar cooking system, solar processed items, and organic farming methods for sustainable community development.
