It is said that ‘All good things come to an end, in order to pave the way for new beginnings’.
With great excitement, fun, laughter and loads of learning happening over the last three weeks at SRCS campus, the curtains were called down for the closing ceremony of the Summer Camp today the 14th of May 2022.
The Summer Camp at SRCS was a grand success with Shri Hemant Makkhar, renowned Pakhawaj & Table artist - disciple of Padma Shri, Shri Suresh Talwalkar gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. Shri Makkhar has been the Head of Music department in Daly College for 17 prestigious years. The music maestro has performed in various concerts in India and abroad.
Shri Sachin Patwardhan, an eminent Sarod & Havana Guitar artist, who is also the disciple of Padma Bhushan Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, was the Guest of Honour for the event. School Principal, Mr. Chandra Shekhar Yadav welcomed the guests and lighted the lamp along with the esteemed guests.
The lighting of lamp was followed by a presentation on the Summer Camp which took students down the memory lane and showed glimpses of the exciting learning activities during the Summer Camp.
The presentation was followed by a mesmerising folk dance performance by the students. The participants of the Summer Camp were felicitated with certificates of excellence and participation by the Chief Guest and our respected Principal.
The students and staff also got an incredible opportunity to witness the two music stalwarts performing live. It was a mesmerising performance and the rich Indian classical Music which definitely will be a source of inspiration for our young learners. It left everyone spell bound with wonderful memories to cherish for lifetime.
School Principal, Mr. Chandra Shekhar extended the vote of thanks and wished the students the very best for a great Summer Break.
