What is the Password
A man wanted to enter an exclusive club, but did
not know the password that was required.
He waited at the gate and listened.
A club member knocked the door and the
watchman standing there said ‘six’. The member
replied ‘three’ and was let in.
Second member knocked at the door and the
watchman said ‘twelve’. The member replied ‘6’
and was let in.
The man saw and he walked up to the door. The
watchman said ‘ten’. The man replied ‘five’. But
he was not let in. What is the correct answer?
Explanation
The correct answer is ‘three’. The man had to
reply to the number of letters in the words
asked by the watchman.
