             Virtualization—A Modern Concept


       All  of  us  are  aware  of  cloud  computing

       technology  and  we  are  using  one  of  its  best

       examples, i.e. Google Drive (cloud-based storage

       solution  which  allows  us  to  store  data  online

       instead  of  storing  it  in  our  local  machines  and
       share  the  data  with  multiple  users)  every  now

       and then. But what if a user wants to share the

       infrastructure, i.e., physical resources like server,
       desktop, storage device, operating system or any

       network resource among multiple users? This is

       the  case  when  a  modern  concept  termed  as

       “Virtualization” comes into the picture.


       Virtualization  is  a  technique,  which  allows  to
       share  a  single  physical  instance  of  a

       resource  or  an  application  among  multiple

       customers and organizations. It basically means

       creating  virtual  rather  than  actual  version  of
       something. It involves using                specialized

       software  (Example:  Hypervisor  management

       software) to create a virtual or software-created

       version of a computing resource rather than the
