ZEST 2026: A Celebration of Athletic Excellence at SRCS

On Saturday, 23rd January 2026, SRCS hosted its highly anticipated Annual Sports Day - ZEST. The event was a vibrant showcase of athleticism, discipline, and sportsmanship, bringing together students, and faculties in a grand celebration of physical education.

The proceedings commenced with a warm Welcome Address, followed by the symbolic Lighting of the Sports Flame and the Torch Holding Ceremony. The Ceremonial Hoisting of the School Flag and the solemn administration of the Sports Oath set a professional and competitive tone for the day.

The rhythmic beat of the drums led the March Past, as students from Newton, Edison, Einstein, and Darwin houses marched with precision and pride. This was followed by a synchronized P.T. Display and a creative Sports Dance Presentation, highlighting the students' coordination and artistic flair.

The competitive spirit peaked during the track events. Highlights included Sprints: 50 mts., 100 mts., and 200 mts. dashes. A thrilling Relay Race kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Fun Races designed specifically for Pre-Primary children, which were a delight to witness.

Medals & Certificates were given away by the Principal, Ms. Sunita Singh Chouhan, where achievers were recognized for their outstanding performances. In his address, the Principal commended the students' dedication and the staff's hard work in making the event a success.

The formal proceedings drew to a close with a Vote of Thanks delivered by a student Samaira Sharma. The event, seamlessly conducted by emcees Aashi Nahar and Avantika Gupta, ended with the resonating notes of the National Anthem.
