Rajasthan Tour – Day 3

SRCians Jodhapur Diary walking through tales of Royalty – 3

SRCians explored the grandeur of Jodhpur through a captivating visit to Umaid Bhawan Palace and the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, immersing themselves in royal heritage and architectural splendor.

The SRCian group's journey to Jodhpur was a celebration of history, culture, and regal elegance. Their first stop, the Umaid Bhawan Palace, offered a glimpse into the opulence of Rajasthan’s royal legacy. Built between 1928 and 1943, this golden sandstone marvel stands as one of the world’s largest private residences. The group admired its Art Deco and Indo-Saracenic architecture, strolled through its lush gardens, and explored the museum showcasing the rich heritage of the Jodhpur royal family.

They also ascended to the awe-inspiring Mehrangarh Fort, perched atop a rocky hill and commanding panoramic views of the Blue City. The museum inside the fort, with its collection of weapons, royal attire, and miniature paintings, offered a vivid narrative of Rajput history.
